Honorary Brick Paver
Honorary Brick Pavers are the engraved bricks outside the front door of Nederland Community Library. They may be purchased through NCLF to honor or commemorate people or events.
Proceeds from the sale of these pavers goes to support Nederland Community Library.
What should the inscription say?
The inscription is decided by the purchaser, but for inspiration you may look at the existing bricks. Be aware that NCLF reserves the right to refuse messages that are obscene, political, religious or might be offensive to library patrons.
Inscriptions are limited to three lines containing 20 characters or less, including punctuation and spaces. In some cases images may be added, but it will reduce the space for text on the brick. How long does it take for my brick to arrive?
In order to reduce shipping costs, we need to order between 5 and 10 bricks at a time. If your order is the first received, it might take several weeks before we can place the order.
Once ordered, the engraving company (Brickmarkers®) will usually ship the order within 6 to 8 weeks.
When we receive the bricks we try to have them installed as quickly as possible. This can, however, be delayed by weather. It is difficult to do the installation during extremely cold weather, or when there is snow or ice on the walkway. Is my purchase of a brick paver tax deductible?
While we are not tax experts, it is possible that all or part of this purchase is deductible. We urge you to check with your accountant or tax specialist.
NCLF sells brick pavers for $100. Of that, $35 is paid to Brickmarkers® for the actual brick. The rest, $65, is considered a donation to NCLF to support Nederland Community Library.
